Complete uninstall of SPB Shell?

Hi there - first post, so hello everyone 😊

Installed spb shell on my 5530 and then started having issues with the weather app crashing when trying to update it.

I decided the easiest course of action was to uninstall spb shell and reinstall it. But it doesn't completely remove everything, as when I install it again, it doesn't ask for the serial code, and remembers all my settings.

I have searched high and low for what files I need to remove from my phone but can't find any info anywhere.

I did see mention of looking in c: system/ apps? But there is nothing relating to spb shell in there. I also saw mentioned a folder (something like 2002b**? ) but that folder isn't present either. I can't recall the exact name, but when I was googling I did copy and paste exactly what the folder name was and there was no luck finding it on my phone.

I connected my phone to my pc (with it set to show hidden files and folders - which it does) but cannot find anything seemingly related to spb, but something still resides as the broken weather app remains, and as I say, it recalls my settings when i reinstall it.

Thanks for any help.

Hi Retrovertigo I have found a way to delete the settings file after the uninstallation of spb mobile shell settings file. In order to do this find and download "X-plore" app for your mobile, if it is a symbian platform nokia, but not always necessary. After installing the app, if you have downloaded the spb-m.s in the e:/ directory, go to the c:/ directory (make sure you change the x-plore settings to view hidden files), now here is the main part`
1. enter c:/
- enter System folder
-enter Apps

Here you should see a file with a long name which also has the "2002b" letters at the end, delete this and you're finished. Hope this helped 😊
