My contract ends tomorrow. I was not going to buy another symbian phone but I have noticed that there are some good offers on the C6 01 and the c7.
So I will stick with symbian for now and see what the new Nokia's with Wp are like next year.
Like Ewan I want something that is pocketable but since both are the same weight which do I go for? Bigger but thinner or smaller and fatter. I am not bothered about the extra few Mp's in the C7 camera.
At about 130 grams both seem quite heavy (compared to say the samsung galaxy at 118 grams). Which is more pocketable?
I like the NFC and extra local storage on the C7. C6-01 just seems like a strange product placement to me.

I thought that about the c6 01 as well. But it's Ewan's favorite phone so i did not want to dismiss it.
May be Ewan was on a tight budget 😉 or preferred it for gaming or other purposes ...
Pick the best for you ... What u feel in love with as design and feature...
I think C7 is the better set for you as compared to C6 because it has many updated features in it which were not in C6 and i refer it if you really want to enjoy a symbian sent then C7 is the best.
i went for the C7 after holding both in my hands. i thought that physically, the C7 feels far more satisfying in the hand, i think it looks better. even without CBD technology you won't be disappointed with the C7's screen. i reckon it's better than the HTC's (desire/desire HD) amoleds, both of which i've used.
I ordered the C7, it arrives thursday. Thanks for the advice.
I got it for 39.99 and 15 a month, including 300 mins, 300 texts and unlimited internet.
Although there are some good c7 offers out there I thought this was the best.
Can't help wondering why such good offers on the latest Nokia phones.
Compliments on choosing your device.
Trust me, your nokia dymbian phone will work even if nokia would announce that they partnership from next day with company x for the OS....
And will work even after 2012 if we have no polar shift 😉
Nokia built quality is robust.. Simple and functional
Cheers

T minus 2 weeks untill you start posting about how crap the browser is ;o)
which UK network are you on? seriously, browser and opera crashes aside (and a fairly unique to 3 network gripe about the wifi) i love my C7. it's my precious.
I went with T mobile. I've been with orange for years, but this time the offer was better with T mobile. 3 is very poor in my area.
It arrived today :icon14:
well, T mobile and Orange have merged networks in the UK, so it makes perfect to jump on the better value deal when choosing between those 2 networks. i hear T mobile have some very attractive data packages, so if you're happy with the reception it's probably the best choice.
I can't believe how touch sensitive the c7 is.
Typing is a nightmare. The slightest brush of a finger on the touch screen and letters appear that I didn't want. 😮
Will I get used to this? I don't know.
Does anyone know, can the text size be reduced for messages and notes etc?
get swype ASAP!
you'll get used to the screen's sensitivity...
