Hey guys, I downloaded WhatsApp messenanger and i like it but it keep my x6 connected even though i exited the app. Does any one know who to disable that and make the app connect online only when we want it to or when we enter the app?

it will sit in your task system when you close it unless you actually totally exit the app.
The idea is that it will be an additional choice for messaging, therefore will be polling the network a lot. I found that it really drainined the battery on my X6 to the point it was pretty much unusable.
yeh I just don't get it why it stays connected even after exiting the app. Are you saying that if i download a task manager, it will exit the app and won't stay connected? if yes then it is worth using it, otherwise really not worth charging your battery everyday coz of it.
This app has lots of reviews on ovi, and for many of them (that i read) did not mention anything about staying connected. So i was wondering if it was only my phone or the app actually keeps you connected.
I have it on a BB and friends have it on other phones, seems fine.
I reinstalled it on my X6 and its not pulling as much battery now but if you want to get messages thru whatsapp they have to be able to reach their destination. 😉
