Does anybody else have a wobbly volume rocker key on their N8? Mine feels terrible! If I push the centre of the button where I'd expect no give at all, not only does it press down but it clicks too. When I push vol-up slowly there are three gentle 'clicks' before the key is actioned.
I've had the phone less than two weeks but suspected this button wasn't quite right after the first couple of days.
Mine is similar. The whole rocker depresses when pressure is applied in between both ends. A bit annoying.
I wasn't happy with the volume button on the side of my N8 so I sent it back and have now received a brand new replacement.
Guess what...the volume button on this one is wobbly too 😞
I've just been into Carphone Warehouse and they kindly took a brand new (silver) N8 out of the box for comparison; the volume button was not wobbly.
It's just a niggle but it does seem to be a manufacturing fault. Guess this one will be going back too.
It is a minor annoyance but has caused me no harm at all. Bloody love this phone.

Well, sorry about your phone issue. I don't know if it is a relief or not, but my N8 has this woobly button too. I was thinking of complain and have another one with another color, but... nah.
Anyway, as long as it doesn't fall off, I think I can live with that. 😛

If only it were that simple, I bought it from Nokia directly so I have to post it back, wait for their evaluation, and wait for a new phone to be shipped. I'm working out of the country during the week which means I can only post/receive at the weekend, which would mean two weeks without N8...again 😞
