How much space on your C: Drive

Well since this forum is becoming a bit dead, I thought I post something for use to moan and complain about - afterall that's what we love doing

Anyway so how much space have you got left on your C: Drives and what have you got on it (over 1MB)?

I've got just 52MB left - after managing to maintain it at 140MB since I received my N8

But then I think the ovistore upgrade took it down to 130mb and installed the awesome game Sparkle (25mb)- But ovi store will only install it on C😃rive for some reason.

And apart from that can't find where all my c: drive space has gone 😞

Anyway moan over. How much space have you got??

I have 118mb free on my C drive, but this is only because I removed Sparkle (which I regret as it is such a good game).

Mine was at 128mb for a long while, but I also think that the ovistore upgrade brought it down a bit.

I'm reluctant to remove Sparkle as it's such a good game and I paid 3 for it!! Don't konw why it has to be on the C: drive.

But apart from that, don't know what else! I have 50mb mysteriously disappear!!

My Quickoffice didn't update to the 'edit' version when my N8 got PR1.1, so I contacted Quickoffice and they sent me the installation file link direct.

After installation, there was no change, so I un-installed the Quickoffice app listed in Installed Apps (5mb). Curiously, when I went back in to my office folder, the updated version of Quickoffice was there, with full edit capability. However, there is now no Quickoffice shown in Installed Apps, but I have now gained another 5mb of space, so I am back up to 105.2mb (with my Web privacy information freshly cleaned out).

What I don't understand is where my Quickoffice is now?
At least it is fully up to date and I have more C space available.

I have 126.4mb left.

If you have the nokia panorama app it saves loads of individual images on c😛anoramatmp folder which you can delete

Wow!! Ok something is really wrong. Gonna start hunting down where this 50MB has disappeared to!!

P.S Is it safe to remove the OVI Store Installer from the APP Manager?? as that's a few MB as well

After writing to the developers behind Sparkle, they confirmed that the reason why it installs unto the C: drive was because of a bug within the Qt SDK. They have released a work around version which is now awaiting approval to get into the Ovi Store.

So that's another 21mb gained!

So using NetQuin M Guard, I discovered I'm currently using:

52.2MB for text Messages, and
47.8MB for applications (Includes I'm guessing the ovi store, Qt stuff and ofcourse Sparkle!!) and about 2MB for Misc files

That is 102MB!
But from file manager, I'm using 209MB on my C: drive hence why I only have 52mb free!!

So that's 100MB I have missing!! That is not an APP or a text message!!

This is driving me nuts now!

EDIT: Memory Details in file manager is showing 87MB other files! (that helps!)

Did they say they'd let you know when it was ready for download? Then we can all update.

Here's the reply I got from them today

Hi Monty,

I'm sorry, but we are unable to determine that date since it depends on how long the Ovi Store submission and quality assurance process will take. However, it'll be there at some point.
