I've downloaded webviewer but whenever i tried to access a site i just ended with.. :app closed [email protected] 3. what's causing this? what must i do?

Hi, I have similar kind of problem. I've been using webviewer for months and since a few days it doesn't work anymore. I believe something went wrong when I removed another application (can't remember which one...).

I'm afraid Webviewer is quite unstable and unfortunately I have no idea how to troubleshoot it. I have tried removing and re-installing it, that didn't work. Perhaps it's a symbian problem.

Also looking for help....

Now I installed Doris browser.

Have you tried contacting with their support desk? Rog is in charge & he is very responsive. [email protected]

I have been using Webviewer for several months now, the only error I tend to get is "20015", which I think is the equivalent of "404 - page not found".

It's a java app, which is good (size matters, I've decided) and bad (if you reinstall or reload from PC suite, you lose bookmarks), but I've found it quite stable. The only times I have had problems have been when I did a hard reset and also when I upgraded the firmware. Both times I was experiencing problems with other C++ apps.

Strangely, I unpacked all apps, uninstalled Stacker/Space Doubler (I've been trying both, one at a time), rebooted, and all the problems disappeared. Strangely, since Webviewer was not compressed. Then I reinstalled the compressor, and everything was OK.

Sorry I can't be of more help, but do try their support desk

(must be atleast 6th time I have answered this very same question here)

Yes Rogs from Reqwireless has been quite responsive and helpful, but i'm afraid this time it's a phone problem...I'll contact him again.

I was using 3.16 for a couple of months, last month upgraded to 4.39 - the OS did not impact how Webviewer performed (at least for me).

Maybe your problem is due to interrelation with another app. I would check other apps that use your internet gateway (BTW I use active mail & emailviewer, without problems) - but I don't do any chat/streaming video stuff...

after reading this bit from the FAQ

Why can't I log into Hotmail or Yahoo using WebViewer?
Logging into Hotmail or Yahoo requires a secure (HTTPS) connection, which is not supported by most phones. Motorola iDEN phones support HTTPS, but Nokia phones do not.

isn't it wrong? because you can access it through doris?

I think the Webviewer problem is a kind of conflict with another app, although I don't have any other app using the Internet gateway.

I've been using Doris browser for a week and it works fine.

To reply about HTTPS, it has nothing to do with Nokia, it's a browser specific implementation. Doris can access secure page, as well as NetFront (never tried though).

So a hint to the Webviewer guys: although being the first ones with a good browser for 7650, you are losing ground to competition and crucial features are still missing...

I have a Nokia 7650 and have previously used Webview 1.4
my OS is 4.46 and I cannot seem to get Webview 2.0 to work

Can anyone help I am on T-Mobile in the UK and have GPRS
and a 0.0.0.0 Access point

Cheers
