Just had a look at Nokia C7 Astound on RDA and noticed that the calendar is mostly fixed in PR2. Agenda view is back, and the month view has a preview pane which can be turned off and on in settings. I wonder if it was there all along in PR1 but they forgot to include the setting to show the preview pane?
Anyway, here are some pics:

Also, the Mail app is much responsive, even in RDA. Good news all round!

wooo, that is super awesome. I'm glad to see that.
do you know if you can create repeating calendar events of the type "3rd tuesday of the month"? Right now the only monthly repeating option is the same date, which I rarely have a need for.

I don't think so - I'm trying to remember whether I could even do that on my 9500 Communicator and I don't think I could. Think my Psion Revo would probably have coped though. PIM just doesn't seem to be a priority, but as it stands in PR2 it will meet my needs.
I guess if you need every 3rd Tuesday you could put in a year's worth without too much time cost. Alternatively there is an opportunity here for a 3rd party app as an add-on to the calendar. It could take the details of these more complex repeating appointments and put them in for you. It would still be a pain if you wanted to change it to "every 2nd Tuesday" later but the 3rd party app could be responsible for editing its own entries maybe ... shouldn't be too hard to implement, and could even be a WRT app.

One other thing I noticed in Mail was that as well as the scrolling being much smoother (even over RDA and especially with the scroll bar on the right) it also gives you an overview of what category you are up to. For example, if your messages are grouped by date, as you scroll the long list it overlays a box saying what date you've scrolled as far as, so you don't need to stop and look at the messages.
The Mail widget is still rubbish though.

that's my current solution, and it sucks ass. I was hoping they fixed it.
