Hi I have a nokia N8, recently had the phone totally lock up on me. It got stuck in a sms notification. I tried to hold the power key in for a soft reset but the phone went dead. Screen black nothing working. I tried to charge via wall socket but no lights come on and no life. I then tried to charge via usb. I get a windows message saying new hardware detected it does a search for drivers but this then fails. I was wondering as the computer detects something at the end of the usb cable that I may be able to get into the mass memory drive. There are a few photos that I don't want to lose that were taken after my last sync and backup.
The phone is still on firmware PR 1.0 as my network has not yet made PR 1.1 available if this makes any differance.
