hi all, last week i've bought N8 and few days later i came to know that new PR 2.0 FW is on the block my concern is that if one updates FW over 3G or WiFi is there any possibility that some packets will get lost in downloading file? thus resulting in FW instability.
OTA FW update how safe?
If the OTA download is incomplete, the updating will not happen. The protocol/checksums will ensure that the download fully done and OK before the actual updating is done.

are these checksums etc built in phone itself? because i doubt that N8-00 have hash check to verify the file bit by bit.
The update will only commence when the whole file has been downloaded!

then the checksum will fail, and the phone won't try to install the update.
