has anyone some pics of his/her nokia bluetooth headset? can you listen to mp3's with the hdw-2? i now you can with a regular headset, like that one from the 8310, but does the hdw-2 also work?

I've never seen one being worn before, thanks for posting those pics.
I still prefer the look of the Jabra headset, it is much more discreet than the Nokia because it goes behind the ear rather than cover the ear.
Shame the Jabra one does not work with the 3650 - yet.
My HDW-2 has not turned up yet today, but I fear it will not work anyway as I am on Firmware 1.34, I think you need 2.50 for proper BT Audio support 😞
Lets hope we get the firware upgrades in the UK soon, one shop said they would upgrade if I supplied the software - I took them the software and they said they had not received the needed hardware still to perform the upgrade 😞

Played on it for a bit longer..
A double click is meant to activate redial, but instead it crashes the phone with a 'green screen of death'
Also a click and hold should activate voice dialing, at present this does nothing.
So I guess that is what they meant by firmware 1.34 not supported.
But I can answer calls with the handsfree.
If I make calls with the handset I can hear it on the handsfree no problem.
I can watch movies and listen to music over the handsfree which is neat.
Also the phone auto connects to the headset (once paired) when you switch it on which is good.

I should have mine in a few days. I just was sent an email that it shipped. I have a 3650 with firmware 2.50. So I will test it out then.

Hi, I've just got the HDW-2. Use it mostly in my car and at work; no more cablemess that's for sure!!
The sound output is a bit grainy/sparkly, the other end can hear me perfectly though.
Sound is also grainy when I play mp3 (MP3Go). Both through HDW-2 and speaker (this is only when the bluetooth connection is active/connected).
Sometimes both output the music, sometimes only HDW-2 !!!
Haven't figured out how to direct sound to either speaker and/or HDW-2. When the phone rings it only rings in the HDW-2, so you'll have to wear it all the time... Anyone who can tell me how this can be fixed? On older nokias you had a profile for handsfree, not on 3650 (firmware 2.50)... some info are welcome (can't find anything in the manuals)
Click and hold on the earpiece is mean't to send the sound too and from headset & phone.
Don't think you can make the sound come out of both at the same time?

finaly i have my hdw2, but i think there are some probs with it. the other person, who i call, hears a lot of noise. and if i put my 3650 in my bag, there's a lot of interuption, is that normal?

What firmware do you have - 2.50 is better than the earlier versions.
Also, is it noise being picked up by the microphone or is it more like interference in the signal?
I've not experienced any singal interference before but I guess it could depend on your location affecting the radio signal?

i have firmware 2.50. i have full signal on my phone, and i think it has something to do with the bt connection. if i play a music clip and i take it 1 meter away or i turn my head away from the phone, it's make a crakking sound. and the person who i called also heares a crakking sound

My HDW-2 is working as designed, I can voice dial, end call and redial.
Only problem is low quality of the audio. Nokia has stated that they are aware of the problem and a firmware upgrade is on the way. No release date given.
Generally, it sounds like the bluetooth link is too weak to transfer the voice without noise, especially if the phone is some distance away or if there is some barrier between the phone and headset.

i know, it depends on the software on your phone, with a 6310i it works perfect, but on a 6310 it has also the same probs.

is it possible to let the sound come truh the loadspeaker of the phone if the hdw2 is connected?

We can connect other Bluetooth headsets to the 3650 right? like the Sony Ericsson HBH 30. (well in Mobile Review.com they tried a handful of headsets on a Siemens S55 and on something else (T68i i think) Anyways, i got one yesterday, and i can't figure out how to make the thing work! I'm new to Bluetooth shiz nizz, i can pair the device, but the bluetooth signal on the main screen of the 3650 is simply "on" not "connected" (you know, the black circle on the upper right) and i can't answer a call (it doesn't even ring) or even change the sound when dialing a call. everytime i hold the button on the headset i end up getting a "toot-toot-toooot-toot" and the bluetooth signal flashes "connected" on the long "tooot" then flashes back to "on"
Please help! I paid all my allowance on it and the 3650 :P (no really i did 😃)

Send back the HBH 30, it doesn't work with the 3650 because the 3650 only supports 'Handsfree' mode of bluetooth rather than the 'Headset' mode. The HBH 60 and the Nokia HDW2 do work with the 3650 because they support the 'handsfree' mode of operation. Get one of these instead..

The only way would be to persuade Nokia and Symbian to write new firmware that supports the Headset profile. This is quite unlikely to happen for the 3650 😞
The bluetooth headsets that definately work with 3650 are the HBH 60 and the Nokia one...

If you already own the Jabra Freespeak you can get an RMA from Jabra Tech Support to return it for a new unit compaible with the 3650.
They are have not been shipped to stores yet, but are in stock and ready to ship once they receive your Freespeak & cradle.
