A couple of E63 questions

Firstly, sorry if this is the wrong area for the E63 but I can't find any mention of it anywhere. Is it supported here? I've probably just missed it. Anyway, question:

1. My phone was on the 3 Mobile network until I got it unlocked and has bookmarks that I can't delete that are accessed via 3's mobile network. I've worked around this by creating my own 'Favorites' folder. Is there any way I can delete the bookmarks asigned by 3?

2. I've configured Hotmail via the email wizard on my phone and whilst I can access my inbox and see/retrieve emails and write emails, I cannot send them. All the ones I've tried to send have been met with the unable to send message and are currently queued in my outbox. If I go to the Hotmail web page, I can send them from there but not via Hotmail that I've configured via the phone. The outgoing server is smtp.live.com. I've tried using smtp.virginmedia.com but didn't even get the 'send' option with that one.

The security port is StartTLS. Maybe this should be 'off' or set to SLL/TLS?

I'm new to all this and apologise if I've not been too clear. I know it's no biggie as I can send emails by going directly to the site but I'd just like to get things up and running perfectly.

3. Is there any way to just use the contacts stored on my SIM rather than having to copy them to my phone before I can use them.

4. How do I check what firmware I'm using, and how do I install new firmware should I need it?

Apologies if these is basic stuff but I'm new to the world of the mobile web. Could anyone please offer some advice. Many thanks. Glynn.
