Hi all.
I have converted several video files from .mpg to .rm using Helix and the files are nice and small and play well on my 3650. The problem is that the sound goes out of sync on every video, does anyone else have this problem? Everything is fine at the start of the video but gradually the timing of the sound and video gets worse, at the end of a Simpsons episode there is about a two second delay, audio first then video. Any ideas???
Hmm - not seen that before.
What paramaters are you using, they are posted here somewhere and also on the helix site.
Basically Audio should be 8kb music only and video should be 80kbs normal video.
They reccomend 10fps but I use 15 for smoother playback and is all ok.
I always use 2-pass encoding too and high quality resize.
Thou i've not done a clip as long as a Simpsons episode my clips have been up to 10mins and I have never seen any syncing problems.

Err, you can't, well you can, but it only encodes in Real9, 3650 uses Real8, you have to pay for Helix to get Real8 compatibility.
Or if you do a google search you may be in luck and find a site still holding realProducer8 - which you can get for free.
Do a search, there are a few threads on it, someone may have found a link by now..
The version of realProducer8 I had turned out to be the full product so I was unable to post it. Sorry.
