Did you check the compatability of the Sygis Mob. Maps ? i.e. for Symbian S60 v 5 a.k.a Symbian ^ 1 ?
A trick , that can help , is running OVI or Google Maps first . Then start Sygic while running the former .
When Sygic gets GPS signal , close the former and see what happens .
