Hi does anybody know which is the best program i use ? all i want to do is ride my mountain bike over some big country parks near me, mark a waypoint i.e nice picnic spot cafe etc and then be able to track back to these waypoint by compass or other means.

I must have 10 progs on my n8 and not one of them has this simple feature when really it should be standard.

please help my programs i have are as follows

viewranger
papertracker
aftrack
gpsed
freetrack
compass
trimble outdoors
et
parking
where was i ?
sports tracker
google maps

trimble outdoors has this simple feature but the compass seems to be moving all over the place even when stationary

regards chris

Ovi Maps? Save the location as a favourite and you can then use the compass or walking directions to get back to where you need to be.

yeah but walking directions arent much good if your in a field or in a national park are they, because theyre are no roads, what i really need is a prog that you can mark a pint on the map, and navigate back to that point and see that point visually on a compass with the direction that you need to head in and distance to point etc

thanks anyway

Hi
on my 'old' E90 I used geocachinglive. It is a .jar file. I found it on the site of geocachinglive.com Works great. all the fun of geocaching on my phone.

BUT ....

It does not work on my new C7.
It does not install. something to do with an old ( ???) I don not know the english word for it.

Question. how do I get the program to work.

Anyone, please

I believe that the Geocaching live beta has ended which is why the software no longer works.
