I'm using the new anti-spam email server, www.mailblocks.com
The goal is to filter out all spam before it gets to my p800 email system, to save on gprs data charges and having to store or read unnecessary emails.
mailblocks only supports imap mail, so im trying to configure my p800 to pickup the mail.
However, it only picks up the mail headers, and wont pickup the msg bodies.
Anyone have this problem with p800 and imap? Any ideas whats going wrong?
On my Outlook (pc) accessing the mailblocks imap server works fine, and i can read all my messages. I've tried other email clients as well and they all work. Whats the p800 doing different than outlook?

There is a configuration for this. Go to your inbox settings and look at download, change it from just headers to no restrictions, or emails smaller than.

but alas thats not it. i already have that set. this thing just "hangs" when it tries to pickup the message bodies. it picks up the headers fine.
If I click on a message header, it tries to download the body, but comes back with an error "problem downloading message" or simply hangs infinitely.
Any other ideas?

Sounds like a communication problem between the P800 and the server. Sorry, no expereince on this. I can use IMAP or POP and it works fine on both for me 😊
