I'm using application E-Navigator (reference to food additives) and I know that there is a new version is available in OVI store. But I cannot update to it. I tried to remove and reinstall it, but without success. Any one knows how to update apps downloaded from OVI store? In Nokia N900 at least it's possible use manual mode through x-term, but N8.... Thanks in advance,

I had similar problems with Cover Up. Even with the old version removed Ovi Store still kept saying it was 'Downloaded'. I then found this in the Cover Up FAQ
'The Smart Installer is a Nokia component that installs required Qt libraries if they are missing on device. These are needed for CoverUp to work. In some situations the Smart Installer seems to fail, and refuses to install CoverUp. If Smart Installer refuses to work, you should try uninstalling Nokia Smart Installer ADM from the Application Manager, and then try to install CoverUp again.'
Since uninstalling Nokia Smart Installer via application manager I have not had any installation problems. I did have to uninstall it 4 times to load 4 apps I was having existing issues with. Nokia is fully aware of this problem and I am surprised they have yet to do anything about it.
