Phone not found; Nokia PC Suite, connected via Bluetooth...

HI I have my 3650 connected to my home PC via USB>(Bluetooth adapter)
.however when I open Nokia PC suite , it does not reconise that the 3650 is connected; when I open the connection manager for PCsuite it doesnot show BTooth as means of connectivity. "This is the 1st time I am running PC suite on the computer so it needs the phone to be connected.
.
I have used the same version of PC suite on a Laptop and as the Laptop has a Bluetooth Card it cam up immediately; however the PC does not have a bluetooth card; just an adapter that plugs into the USB port.. any ideas?? :robot: 😃

It is a common subject in the Nokia forums (www.forum.nokia.com).

Nokia has selected their own non-compatible version of Bluetooth for both the headset function and the PC Suite.

There are rumours that a new PC Suite (4.88) is on the way that will solve you problem. I have a cheap USB Bluetooth dongle as well, and I can not connect to PC Suite either. I can however, if I do NOT install the PC Suite, use the bluetooth modem..

Hopefully this will be solved in April.

Also, the only headset working is the Nokia HDW-2, which is not generally available in Denmark or Norway at the moment..

Regards
Michael

my BT worked with PCsuite for one day, and now it just won't work... ARGH!!!

I HATE IT

Uhm, I got a connection via a USB --> Bluetooth adapter in Nokia PCSuite. When your phone is connected to your PC with your Bluetooth adapter, make a serial connection to your phone. That option you can find in your 'My Bluetooth Places', scan for all devices in range, your 3650, maybe you have to detect all the things your 3650 can do, but there you will find: Create a serial Bluetooth connection. When you've done this, pmRouter (part of PCSuite) will detect the 3650 and PC Suite will work.

Disable your modem, and then try again. Mrouter should then have all com ports listed.

That is EXACTLY what happens to me.

Disable the modem on the PC?

I tried this and PC Suite still doesn't connect to the 3650?

I never really had much problem with connecting to the PC Suite on my 6600, but with my QD i found that not authrising the bluetooth connection between the Computer and the QD helps the serial connection, but then it means you have to keep saying yes to accept the connection everytime you want to use the PC Suite.
