Copy and Paste URLs in Web

Q. I need to copy web addresses that I discover and paste them into a Content Management System (CMS) for my blog. Can this be done in Symbian Web?

A. You'd think this would be easy in any browser, but it seems not. However, it can be done with a little shuffling around. You may find it helpful to have several windows open in Web, by the way (hint: visit and bookmark 3lib.ukonline.co.uk/newtab.html)

  1. Go to the page whose address you want to copy and use 'Save as bookmark'.

  2. Now go to Bookmarks, press 'up' to wrap to the bottom of the list and highlight the new entry.

  3. Use 'Bookmark manager>Edit'

  4. Move down to the address/URL line and use Ctrl-C or Edit/hash>Copy (depending on which phone you have!) to copy the highlighted URL into the phone's clipboard.

  5. You can now paste this address into any text field in your CMS.

  6. You will want to periodically delete some of the temporary 'bookmarks' that will be accumulating!
