Massive FM transmitter interference

Q. When driving, Why can't I use the FM transmitter in my Symbian phone while it's being charged via the cigarette lighter lead?

A. As you've no doubt found, this doesn't (currently) work. Not because the FM transmitter gets disabled in software, but because the electrical interference from the 12V charging system tends to drown out the FM transmissions themselves. Future models may have filters to minimise this effect, though.
