Q. How do I turn off 3G functionality in my UIQ 3 device? I'm sure all the searching for a 3G signal is hammering my battery life!
A. There is a way to do this, but it's really hidden away! Go into 'Tools | Control panel | Connections | Mobile networks'. Tap on the top-of-screen menu and choose 'GSM/3G networks'. From the dialog that pops up, choose 'GSM only' and then see if it makes a difference to your battery life!
