Turning off Auto-keyguard

Q. How do I turn off the auto-application of the 'keyguard' on S60 5th Edition phones like the 5800 XpressMusic?

A. This setting is a little buried - you'll find it in 'Settings>Phone>Phone mgmt'. With the display auto-dimming and the touchscreen auto-keyguarding, it can be a little much for many people, with it being hard to work out at a glance what 'stage' the phone has reached.

Try living with auto-keyguard turned off and simply keyguarding the phone manually when needed.
