Where's my keylock function gone?

Troubleshooting, Miscellaneous UIQ

Q. I often use the keylock feature of the P900 but that option seems to be missing, both in flip closed mode and also in flip open mode, where the ‘Battery | Lock screen’ option is greyed out. I’ve tried restarting the P900, to no avail. What’s going on?

A. It sounds as though your ‘AlarmServer.ini’ configuration file is corrupted. Install a decent file manager (SMan’s File Manager module is ideal) and browse to ‘\System\Data’ on your internal disk. Delete ‘AlarmServer.ini’ and then restart the P900. Hopefully, your locking functions should have returned!
