Where's my new document been saved?

Q. A month ago, I started working on a document on my Nokia 9500 and even gave it a name 'Article start'. The trouble is that I can't see it in Documents' 'Recent documents' list and it's not in all the obvious places ('My files', root directory, etc.) Has my document slipped through a black hole into deepest space?

You can relax - it'll be on your Communicator somewhere. Go into File manager, highlight the root folder on your internal disk ('Communicator') and use 'Tools | Find'. Give it part of the file name and it should locate your file in seconds. If nothing's found, try again, this time highlighting the root folder of your MMC ('Memory card'). If the file's on the card then it will show up. For future reference, note that Documents (i.e. Word) can sometimes save a new file in an unusual folder, if only because another file of the same type in that folder is currently being held open, and that this location may not be suitable for your new text. Therefore, it's very useful to combine a 'Save as' with a press on the 'Browse' command button, to make sure that you're saving the file somewhere you'll find it again!
