YouTube terminates

Q. Somewhat weirdly, on my Nokia smartphone, Google's YouTube client has started misbehaving. It used to work fine, but now just terminates almost immediately. I've tried reinstalling, to no avail. Help!

A. It sounds like one of the YouTube client's system files has become corrupt or has been tampered with (e.g. by another application). Simply reinstalling the application may not help if the version number is the same, since the OS may keep the broken, but 'newer' versions of each file. Instead, use 'Organise>Delete' (or Settings>Application manager) to remove the YouTube client altogether. And then re-install the YouTube client – all should now be well. This trick should work for occurrences of other, similar, non-working applications, and is worth remembering.

It's also worth noting that there have been several recent updates to YouTube for S60 – check out the Nokia Ovi Store or m.google.com for the very latest version for your device/platform.
