Nokia E7-00

Just lately during the day when my phone is sitting on standby like we do when we are not phoning, texting and all that, I will try to make a call and nothing happens. I can't send texts or make phone calls. The I turn it off and turn it back on or just do a soft reset, with the three vibrations and it comes back and all is fine again. Within the next day or two I have to do it again.

After the soft reset, my waiting texts start to come in and the ones in my ourtbox go out.

Did I set something wrong someplace or do I need to do a hard reset????

Thanks,
Bob

I'm having a similar issue with my 808 PureView. It will show a signal or connectivity on Wifi but I can't make or receive calls. I restart the phone and it re-establishes itself on the network and I start getting two way connectivity again. But within a day or two, it will have the same issue requiring another restart.

I haven't found a way to identify when it is a problem without actually trying to make a call.

I definitely wasn't having this issue on my E7 - so I don't know if it is the Belle FP1 or something network related.

Thought I'd chime in since the problem is essentially the same.

I used to have the same issue.

My issue I think was caused by a combination of self inflicted problems.

Mail too big. Exchange Active Sync choking on 1000+ emails being received over night. and Too many conflicting apps.

I have since CFWed my E7, (had to change the keyboard layout, was from Italy I think), and it included all my apps in the firmware gave me more Ram for Email and made my phone Uber faster.
I also tried to control my Download install addiction.

I'm still experiencing frequent network disconnects on my 808. It's tricky to troubleshoot this issue because my carrier here (AT&T) has poor signal strength in several places, but my old E7 never had problems re-establishing itself on the network.

I don't have anything unusual installed - I had 1 beta labs app (Situations) but uninstalled it when attempting to troubleshoot major battery life issues. Other than that, I use the phone feature very litte and more often than not the device is connected to wifi.

I don't have a ton of email and it isn't configured through Exchange. I have a proper micro sim from AT&T though I don't have another device in which I could test the micro sim to eliminate that as the culprit. It does seem that restarting the device gets it to reconnect with the network, but it will drop the signal again within the same day and not reconnect without a restart.

Anyone else have this with the 808? Or any other Belle devices? Thoughts on where to start would be appreciated. I can do a factory reset, but would like to avoid that if there are other troubleshooting options. :con?

My 808 gets good signal strength on my carrier here in Sweden, but if I loose my wifi connection it rarely reconnects. Perhaps an issue with FP1?

As an update, I'm seeing the network disconnect more frequently. I had a good run of maybe 1.5 days where the phone maintained connectivity with the AT&T network, but then it went back to disconnecting and not reconnecting.

I tried putting the phone into offline mode, which it does just fine. Whenever I attempt to put it back into online mode, it says "unable to change profile." If I attempt the same operation via toggling the mobile data button from the pull down menu, it says the same thing. The phone will remain in offline mode until I restart it. :icon13:

I'm going to try a factory reset this week and see how it does without all my apps. I'll report back.

Another update - I took the 808 out of my home network (went from San Francisco to New York City for a week vacation) and never had the connectivity problem in NY. Only 2 things changed - the home network and I disabled wifi. When I saw that the network connectivity remained active with wifi disabled, I didn't re-enable it.

I did have a few app crashes (Public Transit each time) and maybe 2 spontaneous restarts. Other than those issues, the phone functioned perfectly.

Of course, when I returned to the SF Bay Area, the phone spontaneously restarted once and the connectivity issues resumed despite wifi still being disabled.

I haven't done a factory reset yet. I am just tracking the issue for anyone else having a similar issue in FP2 or with the 808 hardware.

I'll update again if/when I do a factory reset. :con?

I think if Nokia mobile phone screen protective film is actually very good quality, easy to tear does not give the phone to leave a bad traces phones bring a lot of benefits

Another update - for myself it seems. :/

The 808 was still experiencing network connectivity issues with wifi disabled and it was spontaneously restarting more frequently. I counted five restarts this past Saturday - and that was after I'd done a *#7780# reset to factory settings.

My next move will be to do a full wipe reset and manually add apps and files back onto the device. At this point, I'm frustrated with the number of issues I'm having with this device and I hope the full reset resolves it. If this had been a freebie, I might feel differently, but it was pricey for a phone with such a short span of complete functionality.

Will update again later.

Last update: I did a full wipe and reset on the 808 and the connectivity problems persisted. I gave up and contacted Nokia Care and they asked me to send the phone in to the Care Center in Texas. Did so last week and just got an email saying they found an issue with the phone that required them to replace it. So a new 808 is en route. They didn't elaborate on the problem - whether it was hardware related or software related. Either way, I'm glad I'll be getting my phone back this week.

I've been using my E7 since I sent the 808 off and I had no idea how much I would miss the camera and the speedy hardware. 😃

I hope documenting some of this has helped. Feel free to PM if you want more info on some of the issues I was having. Best of luck!

I think iPad shell is very good, is to carry iPad ideal choice, and it has a dual purpose, can be in the right place will it together when the stent to ideal Angle support iPad, easy to watch the video and slide, or in the screen keyboard typing

save your phone informations and then format your phone and see if the problem exists or not. I think it will work.

A strong double-thumbed push to the tilt and slide mechanism will reveal the well-spaced, rubber-buttoned QWERTY pad. The hinge is a little stiff, but the solidity is appreciated.

ME and various people try to download some hd games, but didn't run on this why?The weight is nicely balanced held portrait, landscape or with the keypad out, and the touchscreen isn't overpowered by unwieldy additional keys.

Thank you, I think if mobile phone phosphite shell very good feel very good, give a person a kind of poetic feeling not to be stained with fingerprint design, is not easy to dirty dust, yi qingjie can effectively shock and buffer bump down explosion protection function

Nokia E7-00 is one of the smartest creation of Nokia. It have beautiful design, wonderful functions, damn simple to use and the most cool thing about it is it's smart functions.

The battery is not as long as possible, no protection circuit of the battery is full of that should stop charging, or battery for heating or overheat impact performance

Hi, I consider buying Nokia E7. Please someone who has used it for at least 2-3 months say whether it has shown any malfunctions or defects. What to look at when I buy it?
