I'm not sure how many people know about this, but I found this a solution to the Duplicate Contacts issue and it works amazingly well.

But I have this problem in spades (1900+ contacts after dupps) and there is a easy one click solution.
Launch {Nokia Suite}
Make sure your phone us connected via USB.
click on the right most Icon (the Life Preserver)
Open {Phone Info and Tools}
Under {Capacity} {Phone Memory}
Click {Make Space}
Selects {Contacts}
And then follow prompts, and if you have contacts syncing in Outlook it will also Clean up that as well.
