808 Connectivity Problem: Bluetooth and Phone Switch

5 replies · 9,107 views · Started 02 November 2012

Hi

I've just got a Nokia 808 and I love the camera, Belle FP2, etc.

BUT. I am having a real problem getting the contacts, etc, off my old phone (C7) using Nokia's standard Phone Switch app.

I turn bluetooth on on both phones and select Start Retrieving. The 808 then says "Checking other phone's model", and then "Device not supported, see user guide". That's it. Tried it half-a-dozen times.

I've used Phone Switch on a fair few Nokias - always without incident. I am gobsmaked that this doesn't work.

I can't find any menton of this problem on any forum either. Anyone any ideas?

Thanks

u can put the sim card into your old phone and copy your contacts in it and then place the sim card into your new phone and then u can move your contacts from sim to phone.

Thanks for the reply. I could do the SIM card copy, but the 808 is a micro-SIM and the C7 is a normal one. And I didn't want to cut things up or use adapters.

I managed to get contacts across using Nokia Suite and sync, but I think I have a more general problem with the 808 and Bluetooth - I can't seem to pair with other devices either.

then i think you should better go to the service centre and get your bluetooth software as well as get it updated. No other way You have to solve your problem.

Very good very grateful to you all news, are looking forward to your update once again, are looking forward to your update again
