Hi, I'm looking to upgrade soon from a 7650 to a 3650, and I was just wondering that if I assign a picture to a contact, does the picture come up full screen on the 3650, or is it still a thumbnail like the 7650?
Thanks in advance,
Indy

Same as 7650.
Not sure if you can add a third party app for this thou..
It's still a thumbnail. The 7650 and 3650 run the exact same OS (Symbian 6.1) so there are no operational differences. The 3650 has MMC support and comes with at least a 16 Mb MMC, which is _sweet_
talking about memory, i think that 4 MB of internat memory in 3650 aint enough... some apps must be installed on C: , and even in not you run out fast of memory and RAM... SX1s 28 MB, internal, is decent... still a symbian device.. no offence 😮ops:
The size of the picture set to contacts has nothing to do with the version of the os but how nokia coded the contacts application. On the other way how can a t68i/t300 with much less memory have this option. (and don't tell me about the lower resolution of the screen)...
Afaik the 24 mb ram of siemens sx1 include the rom holding the os. It's not sure yet how much of this memory will be user-accessible.

Yes, like 7650/3650 has 16mb + 4mb +4mb = 24mb memory
And just 4mb is for user, rest is for OS and runtime memory.
I expect SX1 to be exactly the same.
hm... i have really hard to believe that... when reading spec. for certain device, the memory is always given as "user" memory, like 4 MB for 3650 or 1 MB for Panasonic GD87. Never heard about 16+4+4... it would be very strange if Siemens would speak in other terms now, trying to fool simple users, like me... if it says 24, than in must me 24 user memory... i hope at least! 😃
