Moved from the P800 forum to here, as i may be getting a 7650 on Orange in a couple of days....any people want to comment on there battery life, how many days average use, would be appreaceaaeiiateiaited 😉 My 7110 lasts for a week!

7650 Life battery suxx... but we still love it... 😮ops:
About battery life, all I can suggest is that you charge it every night.
And have a portable charger in the office/car/wherever for top-ups.
I will shortly be trying a 1100mah battery (non-Nokia), but with the standard Nokia one at least, you need to be pretty methodical with the charging.

Hi,
I have a desktop charger in my office so Mon-Fri 9-5 it's fully charged. But it will lose half its power overnight, and i might make say on average four calls a night and use the camera a bit. No good at the weekend either. Will lose charge by mid-sunday, have to borrow brother's charger. 😞
But Of course, still love my phone! 😃
Keep us posted on how the 'not a nokia' long life battery goes Paul. Where did you pick yours up? Would i be right in guessing you can get them from Ebay?

Lee, it sounds like your battery is shot! There are plenty on eBay, but I came across a store in Lisbon (I live in Madrid) who'd send it to me at a reasonable price - should arrive this week.
They're cheaper (very cheap) on eBay, but places like these in the UK have 7650 hi-capacity batteries (1100mah):

Nokia say the phone will overheat, there's been a lot of discussion on this forum and nobody seems to have had that problem, although it seems that the quality of these batteries is not uniform - some do get extended life, some don't...

Thanks for the info Paul. Will certainly look into high capacity batts or at least get a normal capacity new one. Ebay is ok, but too many fraudsters on there selling imitation Nokia Batteries (potential whole new forum discussion topic?). They look like the genuine article, until you only get a days worth of life out of it. :evil:
Quick question tho...if your 7650 did screw up as a result of third party batteries (un-official nokia ones), would the phone insurance/warranty cover this?

I imagine you would not be covered, so I would put the original one back in before returning the phone to the NSC.

Let us know how many days...if a day 😮 will these longer life batterys go for, and what one i should get.
