[quote="Woollie"]Can someone confirm the situation regarding restoring after the upgrade of the P800. I heard from a guy in the UK SE data team that you can restore after the phone is ugraded. However, in another forum someone lost the ability to use the audio player with the flip closed after he restored and it seems he may have overwritten a newer file from the upgrade.

if this is true then SE have screwed up big time. You should not have to restore apps (over 20 in my case) when you get the ROM flashed. This upgrade seesm to be writing files to volatile memory - very bad system design!

I just called up SE Customer Care Center, and they said that after doing the R2D update, restore is possible. 😊

I've also confirmed with them that the upgrade will be free of charge  as long the unit still under warranty (have to show them the receipt/warranty card).

(copied from other thread)

Just called into my local Vodafone store, they say that if you care to go to an SE center then you can upgrade this week, but if you don't want to travel, they should have the kit in a week or two and can do it in-store.

They already do all the upgrades for T68i etc.
