just got my self a 3650!!! wheeew! what a phone!

got my epox bluetooth to work, but the problem is... Nokia PC SUITE, i just download it twice from nokia, mrouter shows im connected... PC SUITE ask me to type in a name for my phone, so i did, but everytime i typed it something, it gives me an error message : INCOMPATIBLE PHONE - YOUR PHONE IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THIS SOFTWARE

i mean this is 3650 PC SUITE, it should be compatible. im using winxp sp1.

btw. i can transfer/send files from my phone using the bluetooth software.. but i need the pc suite for video conversion... pls help!!!

anyone help!!

YES! does it have anything to do with it?

this is the latest firmware on the store where i bought it from...

what is the compatible firmware for the pc suite?

Does mRouter recognise your phone as Nokia 3650? Try right clicking mRouter and then Change Device and make sure it is set to recognise your 3650.

i got status connected accdg to mrouter, com 5.

if i do change the device, my phone isn't there. however there is unknown device - cable1, if i choose that, still it gives me the error, YOUR PHONE IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THIS SOFTWARE

i can do pretty much everything except PC SUITE, i need it for video conversion...

yes i am using bluetooth and yes they are paired...

like what i said, the status is connected on the mrouter.

i can do ALMOST EVERYTHING, send/receive & synchronize, etc.. i just can get PC SUITE to RUN and to DETECT my 3650. it keep on saying PHONE is NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THIS SOFTWARE

anyone has a workaround?

Really strange... :-?
The name of your phone can be anything you like.
Maybe you have a broken phone. But it doesnt sound like it, as you can transfer files...
Exactly when does the error pop up???

PS. It does not have anything to do with your firmware version.

u sure its the 3650 PC Suite then?

thats really perculiar.. if mRouter shows its connected then it should work?!?

wait.. have you disabled the picture option in xp? like.. right click on the connectiong and make sure Picture mode is disabled (the thing which lets you send photos and such) under the "Photograph" tab or somethin.. forgot exact details (sorry) but look around.

i know its 3650 pc suite, coz thats what i see on the splash screen..

the mrouter shows its connected, the problem is when PC SUITE asks me for the name of my phone, after clicking ok, it gives me the error : PHONE IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THIS SOFTWARE.

I need the pc suite to transfer large files of datas.. coz for conversion, i downloaded the nokia converter 2.0, it converts music to AMR and videos to 3GPP.. but without the PC SUITE, i cant transfer files larger than the phone's internal memory.

@JyRiK:
what do u mean picture option? where is this located? under the blootooth places?
and the error pops up, everytime i enter the name of for my phone.

any ideas??? im willing to try anything now, just to make the PC sUITE working.... any news if Nokia will launch a new PC SUITE???

not tryna put u off but why dont u try contacting a nokia helpline.... mabybe they might be able to help

I've got exactly the same problem, also on 2.50 firmware, using Gigabyte USB dongle and 1.3.2.7 drivers...when I right-click on m-router and choose Change Device my phone is listed in the Unknown Devices section as: Unknown device 1 (cable)

I don't think this is a firmware issue - my wifes 2.50 3650 works fine in PC Suite.

Maybe an XP issue?

Sounds silly - but I remember when I first linked up my 3650 by BT it accepted the connection but the modem would not work.

I then connected it via IR and when it saw the phone it went of and detected 'new hardware' and loaded drivers for Nokia 3650.
I then went back to the BT connection and found the modem started working.

Perhaps try to connect it via IR just the once to get it to install the correct drivers?

Or connect via BT a do a 'search for new hardware'?

Worth a try...
