Nokia 3650 PC Suite

Have you opened mRouter (that thing in your taskbar (bottom right) with what looks like two socket connectors) and selected the IR port as a place where your Suite looks for connection? A sucessful connection should make that Icon in the task bar green.

i have the same problem too... even the mrouter icon turned green... when i open pcsuite.. it still says disconnected.... i just cant get it to work.. sigh

restart pc?

u sure its the right IR port configured? also can u send files to the phone?

Regarding the pc suite, yup everything was in order.. except the PC Suite.
I got myself a Mitsumi Bluetooth yesterday, spend several frustrating hours to configure it. Thanks to the ppl here, I managed to set it up.
However I still can't get the PC Suite working! grrrrr
If I'm not wrong, Nokia's PC Suite can't work with 3rd Party Bluetooth devices? Anyone can clarify this?

in the mrouter.. there were only 2 options for me.. COM and INFRARED.. obviosly its the second choice rite? but still i cant get pc suite to work...

thought of buying a bluetooth adapter...

Do you guys (all of u) have NOKIA CONNECTION MANAGER? Right click on the little mobile phone with green dot and click Connection Manager; or look in your control panel.. then click on the Blue dot thingy and go from there. You need to enable it here first.

but can seem to detect my 3650 using BT.. it does detect using IR...
but PC Suite dun detect my hp... grrrr

ok i have bought a billionton bt adapter...
now the NOKIA CONNECTION MANAGER does not detect anything also i have clicked the bluttoth button in it... and mrouter says not connected to all ports n coms.... before this iwas using infra red.. and everything was fine...
can anyone help?

well, i CAN get my IR to work and CAN download about 5 file from my phone, however, it drops the connection after that...
i asked the Nokia support line and they told me the IR adaptor is faster than the phone and therefore it gives up very fast.
he told me i can make the iR adaptor slower somehow. but didn't tell me how exactly.
anybody knows?

U need a BT serial port !!
The BT adapter should have sw installer for that...
After u have inst. bt serial port u need to connect the pc and phone, and then pair then i.e a 4 digit security code, use 1111 or whatever. The thing is that u use the same on pc and fone.
When that is ok u klick connect on the bt serial.
Then in m router u need to confiduer that to use the bt serial .
when that is ok u can use pc suite or if xp, just right click and "send to bt device"

I tried IrDA brand BAFO and it didn't work. (intermittent connection, PC suite didn't detect at all)

I called NOKIA, they said that 3650 does have problem with external IrDA, but it will works fine with internal one (from notebook/laptop) and I had tried it and it works perfectly. NOKIA also recommend BT.

You need to set your IR adapter to emulate a COM port (mine emulates COM4 with software), then in mRouter select a COM port and it works. I use an external USB Chronos IR Express adapter.

As far as the connection status in PC Suite if you click on it it updates most of the time to the correct status.
