Turning the Screen 2

Is there any serious people out there who would know if there is a app that could turn the screen 90degrees?

If not, are there any developers that would consider such app?

For what purpose, and how?
I think, it is nearly impossible to make such an app, that works for all (or even for some) apps.
Forget it.

A programmer would have to hit the OS pretty deep to be able to get the normal menu to appear at a different orientation. Some applications allow you to turn images around but the only software I know that runs with the screen at 90degrees are some games. Maybe using something like this http://www.trigenix.com create your own front end.

It seems to of that the only way to do sth like that is to make some critical changes to the firmware... So that is why it seems impossible to me...

The only reason I could think of doing this is using IRremote with the 3650 as the IR port of the 3650 is on the side of the phone?

in a later version of irremote they will turn the screen round, special for 3650

I remember on a Palm Pilot I had an e-book reader let you turn the screen to landscape mode, although on the 7650 you wouldn't gain too much since the screen is rather square. And (with all respect to those who do) I can't imagine enjoying reading a book on the 7650. 😊

I think that an app. like this one you're asking for is completly useless as a common purpose app. The decission of the application being displayed either as a landscape or a portrait should be let to programmers alone for every single application has it's own needs. That irRemote for 3650 is a good example.

Most Series60 eBook readers have that option already too.
