sat to format my phone and it now asks me for lock code. i do remember wht the code is but now it does not work. i got confused and changed it a cpl of times. now it keeps sayin tht lock code entered incorrect 5 times and will unlock after 5 mins . after 5 mins i get a chance to do it again as well, but it wont just work. wht do i do now i need to format my phone ??? if u need ne more details of this problem plz ask yea

😮 Are you near an NSC? You could get the latest firmware upgrade without a doubt.

was it 12345 the lock code you changed?

Best of luck Paul

yea i am wht do i go there and do. how much time will they take ?
i already have 4.39 i wna do it at home only . yea i changed the 12345 code

Yeah, I can understand you don't want to go to the NSC... Reflashing the phone should take 20-30 minutes - if you have 2 or 3 near you, ring them and see if one will do it for you while you wait (ask which f/w version they have as well) - calculate about an hour from start to finish.

I'm sorry, I'm not very technically minded, but when it won't recognise a lock code, I don't think there is a lot we can do about it.

Paul

wht if i do backup and there might be a file which must have this code na ?
ne ideas of this ???

System Tools by Psiloc will format a phone without asking for the lock code but the format function is only available in the registered version not the demo so you would need to buy it.
Stezos

You can go to a NSC or download the cracked version of system tools and make a format to your phone (the choice is yours)

Download what ?

Please dont encourage warez use. The program in question costs little enough. Buy it. It's worth the money

hey thx for the feedback. thts wht i needed to know i already have the system tools program its just that i dint know it could format without the code. thk u very much . u sure its safe right ?

Its as safe as any format can be, as long as your battery if full there shouldnt be a problem. Ive done over 10 formats and most of those using system tools without any problem.
Stezos

hey stezos. it worked fine i did get to format it i have all the space in the world lol 3500 kb to be precise. although i dont think the lock code still is 12345. havent tried it but dont think it takes it cuz it shows error. wht say bro ? add me on msn my e mail [email protected]
thx

If i understand correct you are telling me to buy a software and to use it only once and then what?
I suggested him to download the cracked prg because only the registered version has the format option. After the format he would have a clean phone and nothing cracked on it. If he would like the program he will buy it, so why to buy it for only one use???

yea true i dont even like tht program very much and i cant b bothered buyin it. already formatted it now i have only video recorder on the phone. i really dont understand the need to make such a big fuss bot buyin stuff. who wna buy they will who dont they wont. they will just get hold of cracked versions or do it themselves. every1 knows no askin for warez here, but they still tlk bot it . i spoke bot it and been stuck with a warning since eternity now they wont even take it off, not that i care. this is a gr8 site but ppl surely need to chill up here. peace out man. now if only i knew how to get my lock code back

really... do you think $10 is a lot compared with the obvious benefit sTools has provided to Jesal on this one occasion? He was in a big hole, and that app got him out of it.

Ethical arguments aside, for the cost of a couple of beers, if you use it you should pay for it.

And lastly, developers are beginning to close the holes in their programs, so that the cracks are getting more complex. Crackers will always find a way, I know, but the cracks can and do affect the stability of the OS. Take your choice.

I agree with you and if you want a program you MUST buy it but there are some exceptions (like this one) when someone wants a program for only once. If you had that problem what would you do? You would going to buy this program and use the format option only once and maybe after that never use it again or find cracked use it only once and then never use it again. I am against cracked programs but lets be logical in some matters please. This world is not black and white there is also grey.

Well, Trod, in this case I'd say the app saved jesal a lot of grief (phone not working, trips to the NSC), it's easier to value that than if you like a game enough to buy it. Even if he only uses it once.

Apart from 3 or 4 massive software houses (Microsoft, SAP, Oracle etc), small developers have extremely small operating margins. They need to spead their devt costs over their sales for the product, right? And the development budget is a % of turnover.

Cracked software (with the risks it implies) is a short term gain for the user, but inevitably affects new releases in the long term.

ps the grey area is the trial version!

time to get off my soap-box

Yes I am telling you that.

You will spend $10 for the application. It will cost you more in time and effort to Go to a NSC to have the problem sorted out. If you prefer to go to NSC and not buy program for one use, you are welcome. Don't steal the program even if its for one use

It's the developers choice to decide what he leaves in a demo version or not. If you want to use an option Buy it. If you don't think it's worth it don't, but it doesn't give you the right to steal it and use it anyway.

If you believe in grey. Can I lend your girlfriend for a night. Only once

Hello all, me (guest) again...

Maybe I'm not understanding how the software works.
But looking at their site, it looks like you trial or purchase the software, (a .sis file), and presumably install it onto the phone.

If I can't get into the phone to activate bluetooth/infrared, how the feck can I install the software in order to do "restore factory settings"?

If you can't get into phone you have a problem. Even if software is already on phone you can't use it. You will have to go to a Nokia Service Centre

BLOODY HELL. 😃 Cheers anyway.
yea guest u need to get ur firmware upgraded. wht firmware are u on right now.
Is it possible to find that out when locked out of the phone? :P 😃 jk
*#0000*
I'm beginning to think you haven't actually ever been locked out of your phone "lock code" stylee.

I'll refresh you.
It says "Lock code:" with a big box to type numbers in (and ONLY allows numbers to be typed in), in these conditions:
A) ALL THE TIME.
B) WHEN YOU RESTART THE PHONE
C) NO MATTER WHAT SIM.
D) APART FROM SWITCHING TO SHOW YOU HOW MANY MISSED CALLS AND MESSAGES YOU HAVE.

My question again:
"Is it possible to find that out [firmware version] when locked out of the phone?"

oh ok ok now i know . no no sorry i have never had a problem like tht. hehe sorry havin a bad week actually. well if u have also kept the lock if sim option activated ure in biggie trouble. i really dunno wht to do bot this now. how far is the nearest nsc frm ur place. i formatted my phone and i did lose the code but then in my country they still have 4.39 so i cant b bothered for a 1/2 hr drive to the nsc for the same version. ill got to them when they have 4.45 or 46 whtever tht 1 is. as per ur problem i hope somebody msgs this thread and save ur butt. ill try myself to find out bot this as well.

That's what a trial is for 😊
