3rd 'screen' button not functioning, any ideas?

The third key (from the top) to the right hand side of the 9210's display has stopped functioning. It makes the same sound as the other keys when pressed which means it IS being recognised and is physicaly connected but it just doesnt seem to do anything.

The ribbon cable which connects the QWERTY keypad to the main board is connected snugly.
I've removed the two screws from the bottom on the communicator's 'phone side' but cannot open the front to check behind the buttons, although I believe it is a software fault.

Any ideas?

Omag_g to open the front cover you must pull the grey strip below of the cover, and under it is a screw and the rest is click system.

I've unscrewed the two torx screws you mentioned but am unable to unclip the font fascia.

Since the phone emits the correct keypad tone when I press the button, I dont think it is a hardware fault...

hi, to remove front panel

remove sticker on the bottom of the phone side, unscrew 2 screws.

then use a credit card or a similar one (preferrably slimmer) and insert & slide simultaneously from the antenna part. that's in between. this is to unlock a clip lock inside. there are about 3-4 locks inside. so be careful. just try, not sure if it works on your end.

Thanks for the advice guys.

Turns out I was right about it being a software fault. I deleated the tempoary files and all was well until I started 'remapper' so I reinstalled it. It all works a treat.
