Mp4=mpeg4 video encoded file. An evolved version of mpeg4 is divx. This format has been replaced with 3gp on mobile phones as it will be the standard in video encoding in 3 generation phones (also known as 3g or 3gsm)
Sorry Memphis, need to correct u abit, MP4 is not Mpeg4, it's Mpeg 1 layer 4..
