mmmm, dunno why it took SE so long to post it, i bought one of those 10 days ago in a SE store in Belgium :-? a pity they dont give the option to buy the case on its own, as i now own 2 handsfrees, and 6 styli which i never use, and the pack costs a packet at 50 euros

Agreed.....the kit is completely useless. I don't mind having the extra styli but the handsfree and cord are a complete waste of money.

I'm just after the case as well. How do you like yours?

Looks great!

I'm actually happy about the extra headset because I love the MP3, specially since I got my 128 card and I tend to loose things.

I wonder where I can get it in the US. I guess i'll check their site.

And how is this case? Hard to tell from that small pic?
I suppose to make calls or work on your p800 you need to completely take it out of the case? Also would your phone still fit into the pocket with this case? (It does with the original one)

Wow,I cant wait to get the extra headset or maybe someone would like to sell me his extra one. I want to mod it and merge it with my Koss heaphones 😊 😊 😊 Dont want to ruin the original though thats why I want to mod an extra one 😊 😊 😊

If you wish to put the P800 in the pocket, like I do, I would say the BEST solution is the Krussel case, it allows full function of the P800, w/o removing it from the case at all. It is super light and tight fitting, so as not to add bulk.

The only downside is that it is not so beautiful (ok by me) and hangs upside down, if you use a belt clip...which in any case, would not matter at all, if you intend to put in your pocket.

The SE original case is definitely less useful, you need to have the phone unportected, if you need to, charge it, or listen to the radio, or use the earphone jack, might as well not use a case at all.
You can buy additional headsets from SE in the first place..
I couldnt find that on there site 😞 Wish they would sell them here already..

On the subject of cases - I just noticed that eXpansys are selling a case for the P800 (which looks very much like the expensive Italian? one that came up here recently);

And it's only 35 + delivery..

It is the Spanish 😉 Piel Frama case. The picture is from theit site http://www.pielframa.com/sony%20ericsson%20p800.htm
wonder if they have the right to rename it..

Just got my SE case in. It is pretty much the exact same size as the soft case that the phone came with. This one gives the phone much more protection and a belt clip. It's exactly what I was looking for. 😊

It is a tight fit with the keypad on the phone. It seems like the keys would get pressed down with it in the pouch. I took off the keypad and it goes in easily.

The is a hole in the side to charge it or hook in a data cable without removing from pouch. The is also a hole on the bottom to allow hooking up a headset with it in the pouch.

Ask the SE service points/centers, I asked, it costs around 30+ singapore bucks, the stereo earphones. Because the "set" mentioned really sucks, in my opinion, cuz normally we just need one or two of the items included. And the earphone price by itself isn't cheap either.. 😞

It looks very much like the case that came in the box with the R380 (the P800's immeadiate predecessor). Seems rediculous that the old version came with a decent case, but you have to fork out extra for one with the P800.

Thanks for the info. I ordered a pouch for the phone yesterday from Freedom Mobiles (www.freedom-mobiles.com) for 9.99, leather, with belt clip. Came in the post this morning (another peice of excellent service from them) Protects the phone really well, perfect.

Just looked at thier site. Pouch doesn't look too bad. It does look like it has elastic on the sides of the case. Is this correct? Will it be protected if it falls on this?

I think the phone is pretty well protected. Although the ends are elsaticated, the phone is very well covered. Having elastic makes the phone easy to get in and out of the pouch.
