UK 64MB Duo Available NOW

For those of us in the UK where the 128 still isn't available, I just noticed that expansys have the 64MB in stock again (it said 21 days earlier in the week).

You can also order the 64MB duo from Sony's European web site - it's been available for weeks now, but I'm waiting for the 128MB version...

I saw yesterday that expansys had stock, but there was also a note saying that they didn't have any left. I guessed that they were all covered by pre-orders.

I just had confirmation from p800er that my 128MB Duo is in stock and I have just completed my order. Unfortunately, since I pre-ordered this a month ago, I got fed up waiting and placed an order with Brando yesterday.

I suppose I could always flog the extra one to someone in this forum when it turns up (if it ever does).

I cannot wait, there are lots of things I haven't done yet due to lack of memory. These include loading the full wad files for Doom, using it as an MP3 player, loading big GameBoy ROMs for GoBoy800 &c. At last I shall have the ultimate in on-train entertainment systems - he he he.

Slangley, I agree. I've just ordered a 128MB stick from www.p800er.com and cant wait for it to arrive!!

There's so many things I want to do with it, but can't, because I've got a paltry 16MB stick!!!

Do you know how much the Sony Centres are charging for the 64MB. I'm curious because I asked in Leeds and I think they wanted 79 for one and they didn't even have any in stock. *

I'm not paying that much for the 128MB Duo I've ordered from p800er.com. We always get fleeced for computer hardware in UK.

* This reminds me of an old Yiddish joke. A woman points out to a butcher that Mr Cohen down the road is only charging half as much for his mince; the butcher asks why she doesn't go to him instead and she says that Mr Cohen has run out. The butcher replies that when he's run out, his mince is half price too.

Nosferatu, Was that from someone that we can buy from online - and who will ship to the UK? I am guessing that 60USD plus postage and plus the possibility of getting stung by UK customs MUST still be cheaper than here in the UK if / when they are finally available?

Does anyone agree or am i missing the point?

I happen to know that the 64Mb Sony MS Duo costs 33.27 (+ VAT) to the trade here in the UK.

Still no sign of the 128Mb, and I can't find any site that ships internationally AND has them in stock.
