Nothing will ever beat a pc, those other things are just a wasted of money. Why by a Playstation2 when you have a PC?

I agree with Dazler, I love my games too and bought a PS2 about a week after they were released, sold it a few days later. The games were ok but the PC just rules and won't go out of date.

1. No installing.
2. No need to upgrade processor, buy more memory, get faster graphics card every 6 months to be able to play new games.
3. Less crashing, bugs...
4. No installing.
5. No configuration problems.

PC is great for working. PS2 or any console is for fun.

PC Games rock,I'm a Quake addict.Used to be in the top 5 in the country in Quake and first in Quake3.Quake2 sucked. 😃

I know I'm lame but I remember enjoying games like the Broken Sword and Beneath the Steel Sky. I liked the idea of talking to the characters and trying to figure out how to get in somewhere instead of just shooting everything in sight. I don't now what would be the best in that genre in the newer games. Maxwell Payne perhaps 😃 (but if there's a lot of bashing with the baseball bat... well, I don't now...)? 😃 I haven't played that much I must admit, I'm actually afraid of getting addicted to the games. Once I start one, I cannot let it go until it's finished and it takes a lot of hours... I guess you know the feeling. 8) But PC games above all others, absolutely! 😃

What the heck is wrong with a ZX Spectrum? Over 6,500 games,and about 1,000 good ones...

I finished zelda, inks awakening on my 7650 couple of days ago 😃

Another reason why pc's are better than consoles are because they have backward compatibility and emulators...(still playing my favorite snes games with better graphics and surround sound)ah bringing back memories...

My Ataris are still plugged into my 28" widescreen telly, biiiiiiiiiiiiiig picture.

I would have said PC but nowhere near as many good games for it as there are for my old Ataris. PC does beat a console cos you aren't left with an obsolete bit of kit to toss away after, you can upgrade and play all the games the consoles do. A lot of games I play on my PC are RPGs from the SNES.

Not to mention that if there were no emulators i would have never learned about seiken densetsu 3 (also known as secret of mana 2). Square has created the best rpgs for the snes and because of emulation some japan only have been translated for us... Ps:chrono trigger still rocks while final fantasy 6 (known as 3) is the best ff after 7 for me...

Best top game still will be:

Diablo 2, Freelancer, C&C's series, Warcraft3, Counter Strike.

Counter Strike is for amateurs.
Best 3d game is Quake and i could add StarCraft to the list of best games.

Yeah Counterstrike has lost it's glory. i prefer Unreal Tournament (the first not 2k3 although the game play is good the first is much better, it's just much better on graphics and nVidia video cards compatibility)
Now about quake I liked the first (first been played on a 486 and now with opengl graphics on my athlon 2000+). Quake 2 didn't really impress me much but it was good. Quake 3 and team arena was also very good but didn't last too much (but RtcWolfenstein was excelent). I am really waiting for Doom 3 and Deus Ex 2 and I am sure the first will be a very good excuse to upgrade my Geforce 2 MX400)

Quake I was the best of Quake releases,i cant get it to work in OpenGL under XP though.It runs really smooth under Linux.
I agree about Quake2,it sucked but the CTF mod that was made by Loki was awesome.
I still like Quake3,aliance mod,also from Loki still keeps me addicted.

i'v got bad news for castlevania fans the next game on the PS2 will be in 3D (from where i see it if it's not broken don't fix it)
the good news is the Gamecube game will be 2D 8)

Well, guess that I am the only one to have XBOX... (according to the pool). Just love it !!! Plus have it installed on my Home Cinema System, so yu can imagine how great the sounds & pictures are... My favourite games on Xbox are = Splinters Cell + Medal of Honor.
