Heyas
Just noticed this. Using file manager on the P800, go to:
D:\ => System => Install
In this folder holds all the programs installed on my memory stick. They are all the SIS files. Can i delete these files? Or are they required to run the program? Maybe these are like temp files?
Im running firmware R2D and dont remember seeing it in R1D.
Any help is appreciated
cheers
Yes you can delete them, but you will not manage to uninstall the appz. again...The only way to uninstall the appz then is to format the mem.stick as far as i know...that was what i did.

In other words, dont delete them as they were not meant to be deleted 😃
They are not the full installation files. Instead they are files that left from the installation of each application to do the opposite work, uninstall the apps. You can easily notice that they are too small in size also.
"Normally" or in other words: For your day to day usage, these files are not required.
Certain applications such as HandyDay deliver upgrades. These will not install, if the original SIS file is not there.
And, as already mentioned by others, they are required for uninstalling the application.
So if you are concerned about space, move them with File Manager to your PC and keep them there. Should you need to upgrade or uninstall a given application, move the respective file back to the MS.
