Why is P800 only stated at 104Mhz @ www.sonyericssonp800.com

Check it out guys, I thought its supposed to be 156Mhz? Webmaster can help explain?

😮

Um, that doesn't look like the official SE site...

As far as I know, my P800 runs full steam @ 150Mhz!

but that site's chart seems to come from www.allaboutsymbian.com. Any moderators can clarify this? As the speed of the P800 processor should be another advantage over the rest of the manufacturers. But now, it's stated clearly in the chart that is only 104Mhz, which is equivalent to NK 3650/N-Gage and Siemens SX1 in that chart 😞

It was mentioned before. There are many errors not only the cpu of p800. And also we don't know what will be the cpu speed of the sx1...

I have found some other errors on that chart so hopefully the frequency is allso wrong 😊

156Mhz to be exact.

😃

At least the P800 is not under-clocked like the SPV from Orange - they discovered the old dog sucked too much juice and introduced some 'Orange power saving mode' - LOL!

I'd be rather suprised if the p8 doesnt throttle the cpu... 50-156
it makes no sense to waste battery on 156 mhz when checking the adressbook.
All laptops and most PDAs do that.

😮

SPF, the SPV is underclocked out of the box...um, when you buy it, the CPU speed has already been 'adjusted' by Orange.

Hi Guys,

thanks for clearing it up 😃 However, its not us who already owns a P800 that I am worried about... Its those potential buyers who are still deciding what to buy and if they saw the chart and based on the facts from there, then I guess at least quite a handful of them will opt the NK way, since many of them would have already been a NK user before  Really hoped the webmaster on that site can update the chart.

most important port is that P800 has two MPUs , dedicates for Phone and PDA, that's the key point, one CPU can not handle both real-time phone call and PDA function.

As Jordan says the chart is a bit old. If anyone can point out any other mistakes please do so. The chart wasn't ever really meant to be completely live. However I will fix it so if you have any cother corrections please reply here.

I REALLY don't want to be seen in public with one of those Nokia 3650s... it will be too embarrassing!!!

Almost like that joke - What's similar about shagging a fat chick and driving a Vespa? Both rides well, until your friends see you.....

*Ignore the joke, I'm losing it....
