i am just about to hard reset my phone, what things would u guys advise to back up or 'remember' ?

thanks, the only problem is that i am updating manually, ie sending stuff the my pc to another program instead of pcsuite cos that dont work, how is best to backup the midi files like message i.e the standard ones?

all the standard midi files (those that came with the phone) will be there after the hard reset. You'll lose any ringtones you have installed (they are the ones you'll need to save somewhere). Also images, java apps, operator logo, c++ apps, and email / GPRS access point settings.
do your hard reset with the charger plugged in. If you run out of battery during the reset, there's no way back...

re how to get your midi files out... if you don't have IR/BT connectivity, use Fexplorer to find the files and then email them out. Or send them to somebody else's phone.
For the future, I'd strongly recommend a BT module for your PC (or IR, it's a lot cheaper, but less comfortable to use)
