This is funny!! They make it sound like it's a ''privilege'' to be a beta tester - my ass!!!!
How about being honest and saying : This software is buggy as hell and most probably will cock-up your pc + p800. Since we're not keen using our own hardware to test it, we want you to use ours!!! For all your troubles we will give you a voucher for a free copy of the software, once you get your pc and p800 working again......
Well, if you've got a spare p800 lying around + a pc you don't mind to have to reformat the hard disk and reinstall windows afterwards, be so kind as to help this gentleman and his software team?
Remember, it's a ''privilege''......

Can't wait to test new stuff, you see. That feeling overcomes the risks of beta bugs.. But then again, I bet most of us who bought P800 with that kind of feeling too.
This sounds very hypocrite 😮
Not in a thousand years will this company qualify for me to beta test their programs.
😮
No, Accela, I tend to disagree.
If you finally manage to get your pc running smoothly, with WindowsXP and PC suite 1.4.2 installed on it, you want to keep it that way. Trust me!

I'm inclined to agree with you.
It is not very serious an approach to ask people to beta test a product without even giving up what kind of program they are to test.
I would accept that policy if they were to actually pay the beta testers but I doubt this is the case.
I think this is just a lesser serious company and it's quite sad how people on this forum will actually let their devices get tampered with by non trustworthy companies/people like this.
