SARS kills Microsoft Smartphone!

Just to prove that SARS really is a virus it looks like its killed of one of the very few planned Microsoft Smarphones before it was even born.

According to this InfoSync article "Taiwan-based MiTAC's Mio 8380 smartphone has now been postponed indefinitely due to the outbreak of SARS in the Asian region."

Now to my mind "postponed indefinately" normally means scrapped. I also wonder how SARS can really be the cause. OK the trade show where they were going to launch it in June has been canceled but Taiwan has not been that badly effected with SARS. I dont see why it should affect their development team or delivery of the final product.

Well they alsways come up with lame excuses. Well this is another proof of how MS OSes are affected by viruses 😃
