I found this weird "bug" when i was doing this:
Turn you're 7650 off.
Put it on the battery charger.
Wait a couple of seconds and you wil see in you're screen a loading battery but also on the Options, Cancel (for me Opties and Annuleren -> dutch). Now you can push the menu button and you have "full" access to you're phone without a password. -> So the startup of the Smartlaucher is done on the same time that the OS starts.
It is impossible to use you're simcard, but you will have a lot of memory free (for me it was around 4,5 mb, normally less than 2 mb) and you can see and do everything you want except the simcard stuff.
So if you want to test something that needs a lot of free memory you can do this trick and you can start what you want.
Now if you pull out the battery charger the phone switches off.
I used for this SmartLauncher 1.0 and i got software v3.12
awww, i wanna try it but i'm too lazy to
All we need now is for someone to write a small app that allows the phone to be turned on from the softkeys or something when the charger is plugged in, my power button is screwed so this would help a lot!
Actually when you put the charger on the phone, the phone starts up and runs an app responsible for the charging. Every application that normally starts when you start the phone (except of the phone app) will start as soon as the charger will be pluged in. You can also notice that if you have psiloc's task manager which also runs when you put the charger.
Also you can notice that whoever gets the error message "Startup failed contact your retailer" when he boots the device (very common after an unsuccesful format) you won't even be able to charge the phone. Immediately after you connect the charger you will get the same message.
Notice that although the start ups loads the phone app it won't start up with the charger so the main kernel app doesn't start making imposible for you to use anything unless you have the ability to run the phone in flight mode (a psiloc app can do it I think).
hmmm interesting.
I couldnt manage to use flight mode. always phone restarts with its original state.

I still remember that in order to use flight mode u have to take out the sim card. Also I think that if you put the charger and the flight mode is enabled then the phone will start (actually the app will start). I remember getting on the menu without booting the device, just enabled the flight mode turn the phone off and put the charge on. I also tried to start the phone app and the phone hung. Not even the power button would turn it on/off. I had to put off the charger and the battery...
