Hi there guys & gals.....
I've been a member of this forum 4 about a week now and a 7650 owner since last November. Up until last week, I was getting increasingly annoyed with my whole 7650 experience. That was until I joined up here 😃
Like a lot of others, I've had problems....phone shutting down, locking up (until i had the firmware upgraded 2 4.39), lack of sufficient memory, dust under the screen, inability 2 use PC Suite and other annoyances that meant I wasn't fully able 2 exploit the hidden capabilities of what I held in my hand (now, now....get that picture out of ur heads !)
Since I joined here, I have found renewed enthusiasm 4 my 7650. I have found apps that I never knew existed, such as sLauncher, Skin editor, Blacklist, Stacker, SeleQ and a whole load of free wallpapers, Oplogo's, skins etc that have made me really appreciate this phone. Even with Stacker tho' I am unable 2 effectively install and run such things as Opera and RealOne but I have them ready 2 install as & when I need them.
I must say thanx 2 Tony who kindly sent me the Mrouterserial.dll file that allowed me 2 successfully use PC Suite and I know have full bluetooth accessibilty with my phone.
It's so encouraging 2 find so many people dedicated 2 developing and moving the whole Series 60 concept onwards & upwards. Every day, I keep finding apps here & there that I'd love 2 use, but lack of memory & funds (I'm an honest guy, always pay 4 my downloads where necessary) restricts me from doing so. If only they could've squeezed a bit more memory in 😊
While I'm here, if any1 can post a decent, easy 2 understand guide on creating skins & icons 4 sLauncher that doesn't require the use of an advanced graphics program, I, and many others I feel, would b most appreciative. How about a PC based program that allows u 2 do the whole thing on a PC then simply upload the finished article in2 the phone ?
Anyway, thanx again 2 u all 4 re-kindling my love of my 7650 and as Mike Skinner of "The Streets" once said....."Let's Push Things 4ward" 😉
Regards & respect,
Rob.
