Sms Send made by MasterBlaster

got this new app!!! very very good one!!! it uses ICQ SMS to send sms to mobile!!!

===============================================

SMSSend is used for sending SMS messages over GPRS, HSCSD or CSD. SMS is sent over internet using ICQ network. If you use GPRS you only have to pay for the data, which is sent to web server. This is usually below 1kB; witch is usually much cheaper than sending an SMS in a normal way.

Application is written in Java 2 Micro edition. Theoretically it should run on every mobile phone or PDA that supports J2ME standard. I say theoretically because every phone has its own fetchers. Is has been tested on latest Nokia, Siemens and Motorola phones.

Fetchers:
- Sending SMS messages trough ICQ and Vega networks. List of networks supported by ICQ can be found here. Vega can only be used for sending to Slovenian networks.
- Integrates address book - J2ME does not support access to phones contacts, so I had to implement my own.
- HTTP POST or HTTP GET method for sending request to web server. Some phones do not support http post. Other phones limit the length of a request when sending using GET method. This can be a problem when you send a longer SMS.

If you get an error while sending, you should try setting gateway to 0.0.0.0 on your access point settings. Gateway is only needed for wap. If you still get an error or nothing appends when you send a message, try changing sending method.

you can go to his site and download or on wap @ http://sms-send.net/

works here in the philippines, with the free gprs of globe i can send to smart telecoms for free!!! yipee!!!

Settings

Language : English

Signature : your signature

Use signature : yes if you want to

Default country code : 63

Provider : ICQ

ICQ Number : Your ICQ number

ICQ Password : Your password

Sending method : HTTP POST

and it will work on Smart telecoms, just like ICQ do... no globe

i tried it on Nokia 3530 and it also works!!!

it allso worked for me... one time... but now i can't add recipient, if i try it will say empty form... What's wrong?

It works just fine for me...

great job well done...

I also added new contacts in the address book.

Some improvements? Perhaps the possibility to save our messages?

A stand alone button for Send Message? It is a bit tiring to press all the time the navi key of 7650.

Excellent work...😉

It works! At least, using my 7650, via Orange WAP GPRS to another Orange sim. Sent to an o2 sim and it still hasn't arrived, yet. The SMS I sent to the Orange number were instantaneous, as quick as normal SMS. Very nice app.

well if your operator's are not in the list of icq sms network... it won't work on you

check this list here http://web.icq.com/sms/smsnetworks/

add recipient first, or add recipient from address book, but beware if you remove the application, all hard work inputing names will be lost

then write message then send message

or you can try to visit smssend wap site and you can send sms their

Cool program!! Thought I could save some bucks for myself by sms-ing via icq....it works fine for the first sms (which i actually send to my own phone)....soon after I gotten some errors eg: "error = -91" and this long one..."App closed [email protected] 46" anyone care to enlighten what all that gibberish was about?? I tried restarting my phone and the same errors occur. Could it be that I did not install the program properly? I noticed that there were 2 files at the website....a .jad and .jar extension...sorry as I am rather a rookie in this....but which of the 2 files shld I install via pc suite? or do i install both??

*helpless*

Ya i know, i actually saw all swedish operators there a year ago but now all are gone. Its weird, and it also makes me pissed of

Well this isnt MasterBlasters fault and it would sure be a great program, if ICQ sms was supported in Sweden..
