there is this website(findamobile.com) that allows you to track your phone. However you need to have your phone in the 1st place to accept the pin and to be able to locate your phone but once you've done that you can find your phone whenever you want! You can also fin other peoples phones if they accept. Its pretty cool and very accurate. Great if you're paranoid

"Anywhere in the uk"
if only that wasn't the case...

*edit*
are you sure that this is not just for the sim?
how does it work?

Ur fone is gone m8. If they can't get it workin' they'll just throw it away. Inform the police and your insurance. Thats all you can do.

First you register and then send a text activating the account. You then go onto add new contact, type in your own number. Yoyu'll get a txt message which asks you if you want to accept that this person (you) can see where you are. You then just click on search for person and just like magic it will give you your position to within metres!

Wish they had something like that here in the US. Would have come in handy a couple years ago when someone stole my old 3390.

^ no offence intended but a 3390 loss isn't 'that big'..

i loved my 3650. oh well.

i still haven't found a suitable replacement.. i want something which can do all the same stuff but i don't want it to be exactly the same.. if i'm going to pay for a new phone, it might as well be 'new' to me too.

i'm also suprised my topic is still here.. hehe..

anyone got suggestions?
i'm stuck between P800 and 6600. Both look good.

I will report it to my provider and have it locked. To tell you the truth guys, I am very attached to material things especially cellular phones.

Well, we cannot do nothing and the person who stole it can have the phone but he will surely go to hell for doing that. hehehe...bad boy...!

unfortunately IMEI blocking isn't very effective in australia. its not 'cross-network' despite claims it is..

and if i'm not mistaken aren't there those kits people can buy off the net to change IMEI's which defeats the point? and to make matters worse i think they can reflash the phone can't they thus clearing any passwords and such there may be. oh well.

i know i shouldn't be so negative but there is close to 0% chance you'll get your phone back if you lose it in australia... despite all those 'phone security' claims by the govt.
