another dumbass question from me: Where can i get it, and how can i flash it into my phone? its very cool there are new FW versions, but pretty damn useless if am not able to use it.

2.50 last week iv had my phone about a month now its 2.50

I have 2.50 from February. This is OLD FW.

Well you wont find anything about it on Nokia's website because they dont announce firmware updates there,you migh have some luck on forum.nokia.com though.

This is what I was told at a Nokia showroom here in Moscow, Russia. They carry the cable that connects to your PC and allows to flash the phones (were sold out of it though). Also they said that on the Nokia website they posted the newest firmware for all the phones.

Seems like a bunch of BS to me since I crawled all over the nokia sites and found nothing of firmware there. Any comments on this folks.

there's no such thing esp in nokia website. even if you call in their hotline, they will not answer your question about that should you ask them about the latest SW. instead, they will refer you to ASC to check for the availability of the latest SW version for your phone.

I wondered if getting my phone flashed with the newest firmware would cost me any money? most of the messageboards say it shouldn't, but I went to an official Nokia Store (In the Hague, Holland) and there they said it would?!
So, I'm kinda looking for the the truth here 😊 I have only had my phone for 2 months now, so it should be in my 3 motnhs guaranteed service, at least that's what I thought.
So please, help!😊

Yeah i work (trainee) in alkmaar, and there is a nokia service point to, (op de beverkoog)i will ask if it costs some $$$

If it's the same as SonyEricsson they don't "officially" give you a free software upgrade unless your phone's less than a year old AND you've been having software-related problems...so the trick is to say you've been having software related problems (phone's been crashing/locking up etc) and you'd like to have it flashed with the latest firmware under your warranty agreement, worked every time with sony...

Well, it wouldn't be a total lie, since it has been crashing a few times. I Just won't mention it was cracked software I installed 😊
Here in The Hague there are 2 service points, so I can also try to play one out against the other.
BTW, not questioning the topic-openers credibility, can anyone confirm the new firmware is out?
