Yeay, I guess it will take some size. So can't you make 2 versions? One for the 7650 and one for the 3650? Would be really cool. You know, for the 3650 it doesn't matter how big the app is, you can install in on MMC :P

i was showin the camcorder programme to a customer today and went to show him a video i took earlier when the following message appeared:feature not supported. i closed frodo which was running and it worked fine. cud u sort out the next version so u can run it at the same time as another programme. was well annoyin when i loaded up frodo and realised i had forgot to save the game.

I will try that combination later. Possiblly the two programs are fighting for direct screen access -- as the software you mentioned is a game it is likely it also uses direct screen access to draw stuff.
It would also be cool to be able to capture a screenshot of a movie in "My Videos"! :P
But the thing I most want is a camcorder program that records in avi or mpeg or whatever format that's suitable for playing with an ordinairy multimedia player (like Windows Media Player or WinAmp) on my PC! So i can directly sent a movie from my phone to any email and my friends can directly check out the movie without having to download a special multimedia player program for 3gp or ear and eye files first!!! Is that possible? :crazyeyes:

works perfectly for me as well... i recorded on my 7650 and send it back via infrared to my pc went perfect. only problem is sound when more than a couple of meters away, is very low...

it is still in beta version better wait for the final version.
well i still have a few problems. i cannot uninstall it. well i can but here's what happens. i install it, and move the files to different folders. then when i uninstall it, and install again, it remembers where it was in which folders meaning that it wasn't uninstalled from the first place.
and the reason i keep installing uninstalling is because when i am recording (i have a v2.54 3650) i set the quality to high and audio to ON. then i record something with music. when i play it back, however, in the my videos, it plays all the way, but the sound i recorded only plays for 2 seconds max. after 1 or 2 seconds, the sound cuts off, but the video still keeps playing. and even when installing, uninstalling, i ALWAYS get this error, can never make a video with full sound, just full video. does anyone know whats going on?
oh i also tried installing the app to both MMC and internal memory, same problem occurs.

I know that is has been mentioned that a PC converter app will be written to take existing movies and convert them to a standard format. Is it possible that you can do the same for us MacOS X users? I'd hate to lose the videos I've taken already because I can't use them on my main computer. Thanks!

I totally understand the frustration... but you know it's harder to find a Mac programmer than Symbian developer! I do know that someone is going to work on a Unix/Linux based converter... I hope that will also work on the Mac. Anyway, I promise we are not ignoring Mac users (because I myself am a Mac fan). It's just that we are lacking the resource/talent for the time being 😞
As for the release date - I'm sorry it's delayed. The good news is that the new version should contain quite a few major enhancements - audio only recording, export to .mp4 file, backlight toggle, full screen playback... to name a few. As you can see, this is far more than a bug-fix release... IMHO it's definitely worth the wait! The target release date should be in early July and we plan to also release the P800 version (beta) at the same time.
I can't wait for the final version! We will be waiting!

Well, I can tell you from experience that there are UNIX based encoders/transcoders that work under OS X. If you hit sourceforge FFMPEG is an example. It's simply an OS gui wrapper for the actual encoder which can optionally be run from the command line. I wish I knew more about programming for OS X, but from what I read, it is fairly easy to accomplish rapid development as you can write full apps using Python (BitTorrent is an example of this), Java, C++, and Objective C. You might want to check out the Apple Developer Connection site. They have free development tools available for download from the site. I believe that there is some documentation on coding in Objective C there as well. Hope this was of some help.

the thing is it does generate a .avi file with the name you specify but with 0kb. its like it doesnt get to the encoding process

A possible cause is that you may be trying to convert a video-only EYE file that has no associated .EAR file... this is a known bug and will be fixed soon.
well all the .eye files have exactly the same file and name but with extension .ear... so i dont think that is the problem

See what happens if you copy both EYE and EAR files into the C:\EYECON directory and convert from there?

Is there now or is there planned a Windows Media Player plugin that people could download to play .eye files back on their pcs?
That way TRANSCODING of the eye files into avi and then into .rm or .asf is not required as much.

Actually, there is a debate on whether this plugin is necessary... and many believes the ability to convert the file into AVI makes such a plugin redundent. Also, in the coming release we will definitely have an "Export to MP4" feature so the EYE file will be used primarily as an internal format after the release.
hey i tried ur eye to avi convertr n everytime its the same error it says on windows XP platform that the program has encountered an eroor n that i specified the incorrect file or i speciifed the .EAR file whereas i did specify the .EYE file what do i do now
